Spoopy season is upon us! Get your candles ready, buy all the pumpkins and take your scarf out of the closet – autumn and NAVA’s Halloween update are (nearly) here! You might remember my old review of Vampire Chocolate Bat, a chocolatey patchouli concoction. This time, however, I’ll review its sister scent, NAVA’s Vampire Vanilla Bat.
Nocturne Alchemy: Vampire Vanilla Bat
Vanilla Bean fleck, Kobalt, Crystalline, Tahitian Vanilla, French Vanilla and a spot of Vanilla-infused Studio created Patchouli.
Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner Deep Rich has been a part of my AB skincare life for a while now, so it’s high time I review it. Don’t you agree? Whamisa is a Korean beaty brand that isn’t hugely popular in Slovenia but it has pretty much a worldwide presence.
Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner Deep Rich – the Ingredients
The Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner Deep Rich is a very popular product, known for its fermented ingredients. This was the main selling point for me, as I was trying to explore this skincare segment and move away from your basic toners. This water-free toner isn’t meant for cleansing your skin. Instead, you use it as your first or second hydrating product. It contains an Aloe maculata leaf extract, which supposedly treats inflammation and other skin concerns. An interesting ingredient is also the galactomyces ferment filtrate, which is an antioxydant with moisturising and repairing properties (Wikipedia).
Arcana’s Echolocation is part of their Coast of Cascadia summer collection. If I remember correctly, the collection was first released back in 2014, and it returned in 2018 and 2019. This collection is inspired by the Oregon coast, the home of Arcana.
Arcana Echolocation – the Review
How whales find one other. Ambergris and amber resin with ruby grapefruit, sweet guava, saltwater, vanilla pods, and the merest hints of patchouli and vetiver.
Boasting fruity and salty notes, Arcana Echolocation instantly caught my intention. I guess I was still high on Lammas and wanted to get more of that sweet, sweet grapefruit. Not to mention that grapefruit’s become my favourite citrus fruit, so it was only natural that Echolocation would appeal to me.
