Today I prepared a post about my favourite lipsticks – the ones I will most likely wear this festive season. They’re not your typical reds or vampy shades, instead they’re more natural and not in your face. Perfect for office wear and nice solutions when you go out but want to emphasize your other features and not your lips.
The first one is Moisture Shine Lipstick by Natural Collection in Cranberry. It’s a nice light, muted pink that goes extremely well with most looks but you might have some troubles pairing it with warmer-toned clothes or even foundation if it’s too dark. Still, Moisture Shine Lipstick is a safe choice and so easy to apply you don’t even need a mirror to do it. The finish is kind of shiny but it dries down to a semi-matte texture.
Next up is a bit more expensive and less-natural lipstick, Rouge Edition 12 Heures in Beige Shooting by Bourjois. It’s a lighter-toned but also a tad brighter pink than Moisture Shine Lipstick, and a perfect choice for people with cool or neutral undertones. It has a “my lips but better” feel going on, therefore it enhances anyone’s look. It unfortunately doesn’t last for 12 hours (it’s a ridiculous claim anyway) but my drinking/eating all the time might play a big role in this. I find it a bit more difficult to apply but doing it in front of a mirror helps solve my issues.
The last one is my favourite: Lip Colour in Technic by Hello Waffle Cosmetics. It made of natural ingredients like avocado and sweet almond oil, as well as vitamin E! It really doesn’t contain anything that isn’t necessary for it’s colour and consistency, which is why I love it so much. I’m not sure why it’s called ‘lip colour’ and not ‘lipstick’ but, to be honest, it doesn’t matter that much. It stays on for a long while, although it does not fully survive eating or drinking. The colour is a bit darker and warmer than the above-mentioned lipsticks (or its swatches online), which makes it perfect for pairing with burgundy clothes, for example. It’s a soft shade but people will notice it!
