I fell in love with Fyrinnae Kitten Tummies perfume oil as soon as I first applied it on my skin. I managed to buy a decant (and then a full-sized bottle) from a friend after the first release of this collection back in 2018, and I was upset because it seemed like Kitten Tummies would never make another appearance.
According to the brand, their perfume oils are vegan and cruelty-free (their musk, leather, and cream notes are synthetic) and they are mindful of endangered botanicals. As they say, “in cases where the real botanical ingredient is endangered or harvesting practices are known to be questionable, we use a synthetic or different origin substitute.”

When I ventured into the world of indie cosmetics I noticed there was always someone talking about Fyrinnae. As I discovered, this is an(other) American independent make-up brand, known especially for their eyeshadows. My first order from them included a lip lustre (a sort of a liquid lipstick/lipgloss thing), a sample of their famous glitter glue – Pixie Epoxy –, and three mini jars of various eyeshadows. You can read my review of Intergalactic Bookstore here but now let’s focus on my second order: four super lovely eyeshadows from my second order.
This post is way overdue. I’ve been having it on my mind for the longest time but sadly couldn’t post it any time sooner. In early 2016, I started using more makeup and relatives quickly found some of my favourite makeup items that I love using this year, too. Some are part of the daily rotation while others are meant for special occasions only. Any way you look at them – they’re my favourites!
Hello Waffle Lavender Cream Liquid Highlighter
This is such a versatile highlighter that I can’t help but love it. It can be very, very subtle but it can also be packed on for a very noticeable, shimmery effect. It’s cool-toned so folks with warm undertones might not appreciate it that much. However, it should work fine if used sparingly. Check my review and swatches here.
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
This foundation stole my heart back in February 2016 but I only started using it in November. It truly is a weightless foundation because it feels like second skin and you don’t need to apply a lot of it to achieve medium-to-full coverage. I apply three drops, tops. While it’s called luminous, I find it to be more matte but then it’s not chalky or heavy, especially if you apply it to well-moisturised skin.
November, probably the third* dullest month is gone and done. It’s finally got really cold outside and in my opinion that’s a good enough reason to stay indoors, drink copious amounts of tea and watch TV series. Really, why would anyone want to go outside to freeze their socks off?
However, there were some make-up, perfumes and skincare products that made getting ready for work (or going to sleep) much easier. This is my first favourites post, in which I will describe some things that I liked using the most in the past month. Enjoy the ride!
