Arcana Craves Reviews part #2

Sometimes you need a kick in the bum to start writing long-overdue reviews. Sometimes they’re really not pleasant but other times they come in the form of perfume. Arcana Craves released the Strawberries Crave collection just over a week ago, so I thought I’d better post a few reviews of the perfumes I’d tried way, way back.

As I said the Part #1, these perfume decants were purchased by me (or received in swaps) in the last four years. I’ve already used up or destashed all of these Strawberries but I did try to review them in a coherent manner. These reviews weren’t meant to be published, so please excuse the lack of original photos, and any weird turn of phrase or inaccuracy.

I hope you find these Arcana Strawberries Crave reviews helpful!

Arcana Craves Reviews part #1

If you’re reading these lines, chances are you already know about Arcana Wildcraft. Arcana Craves is a more playful sister brand of the OG Arcana. As they say, “[Arcana Craves] take[s] different versions of single notesĀ and blend them with our creative inspiration.” Fun and eclectic, the resulting blends are often fruity and/or foody, but some go beyond that into unusual territories (Vanilla Craves Terror [review upcoming], anyone?).

This post is a collection of Arcana Craves scents that I’ve tried over the past four years. I asked the brand owner whether any of the perfumes had been reformulated. She explained that the formulas remained as they were during their previous run.

All these perfumes were purchased by me in the last four years. Some of them I have already used up, and some others I have destashed because they weren’t my thing. When I was writing these Arcana Craves reviews, I didn’t intend to publish them online because most of them were discontinued anyway. Now, however, they’re slowly coming back, and so are my reviews, slightly edited.

I hope they make your choice easier. Stay tuned for more posts as I have some more brewing on my computer. šŸ˜‰

Fyrinnae Kitten Tummies

I fell in love with Fyrinnae Kitten Tummies perfume oil as soon as I first applied it on my skin. I managed to buy a decant (and then a full-sized bottle) from a friend after the first release of this collection back in 2018, and I was upset because it seemed like Kitten Tummies would never make another appearance.

Luckily, these perfumes are back again (and there are many new ones to boot!), so anyone enticed should have a look at the Fyrinnae website.

According to the brand, their perfume oils are vegan and cruelty-free (their musk, leather, and cream notes are synthetic) and they are mindful of endangered botanicals. As they say, “in cases where the real botanical ingredient is endangered or harvesting practices are known to be questionable, we use a synthetic or different origin substitute.”

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab: Yule 2016 Perfumes

Today I present the company that’s mysterious and hilarious, poetical and political. It’s the one that intrigues me the most, a source of endless inspiration, curiousity, and wonderment. This isĀ Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and they make amazing perfumes.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is a perfume company from North Hollywood, California. They describe their business and products as “extraordinary scents for extraordinary people”. A short and succinct description, just as most people like it. However, the people behind this four-word brand name (BPAL) aren’t just making perfumes, they create stories based on various pieces of literature or film, combining both classical literature and fantasy novels. Films and paintings.

This post’s focus will be on their Yule 2016 collection that went live on 5Ā DecemberĀ 2016 and is available until 13 February 2017. This limited edition offers a wide variety of typical Christmassy scents, as well as strange aromas you’ve never dreamt about, at least not in perfume form.Ā Don’t hesitate to check out the shop and pick your new favourite scents!
