Hi! I hope everyone’s doing well. I’ll be honest here – I don’t have any special intro to today’s post. These are some old Nocturne Alchemy perfume oil decants/samples that I enjoyed wearing last year and this summer. I’d love to explore more of this brand’s olfactory offerings but (cheaper) international shipping is not available at this point. If you’re in the US, feel free to let me know your favourites in the comments below or on my Instagram profile.
Below you’ll find NAVA Art of Love reviews of Blue Chamomile Lavender Dolphin, Holy Grail, and Mariamne.
I fell in love with Fyrinnae Kitten Tummies perfume oil as soon as I first applied it on my skin. I managed to buy a decant (and then a full-sized bottle) from a friend after the first release of this collection back in 2018, and I was upset because it seemed like Kitten Tummies would never make another appearance.
According to the brand, their perfume oils are vegan and cruelty-free (their musk, leather, and cream notes are synthetic) and they are mindful of endangered botanicals. As they say, “in cases where the real botanical ingredient is endangered or harvesting practices are known to be questionable, we use a synthetic or different origin substitute.”
Kitten Tummies – the Review
Marshmallow, sweet benzoin resin, white sandalwood, sugar, and a hint of myrrh.
You can buy Kitten Tummies by Fyrinnaehere for $3.60 (1.5 ml), $12.00 (5 ml), or $18.00 (10 ml).
While loud fragrances seem to get the most attention, it’s also worth turning to quieter perfumes. Like finding haven in a storm. BPAL’s Mouse’s Long and Sad Tale is like that – unassuming, mousey, but you might just end up loving it if you get to know it better.
BPAL Mouse’s Long and Sad Tale Review
Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood.
Thanks to the Australian retailer Femme Fatale, I had already tried a couple of Solstice Scents perfumes* when I decided to place my very first order with Solstice Scents. Boasting with an extensive library of olfactory delights, the brand sure doesn’t make the decision process easy. For my first order, I went with a couple of fan favourites, as well as some perfumes from the Spring Collection that appealed to me.
*Those perfumes were Foxcroft and Nightgown – let me know in the comments below if you want to read another Solstice Scents review!
